This 49-year-old woman presents after a remarkable weight loss journey, shedding over 40 kg over the course of 3 years, ultimately stabilizing her weight at 73 kg (BMI of 27). Standing at 163 cm, she went from 115 kg (BMI of 43) to her current weight, significantly improving her health and overall well-being. Despite her weight loss, she has been struggling with functional issues due to excess skin under her arms, which has caused persistent pain, rashes, and difficulty finding clothes that fit properly.

She is a smoker, consuming 10-20 cigarettes daily, a factor discussed in detail during her preoperative consultations, given the risks it poses to healing.

Surgical Intervention:

To address these concerns, an extended brachioplasty was performed, assisted by VASER liposuction. The procedure successfully removed excess skin and fat, improving both the appearance and functionality of the arms.

Fat removed via liposuction:

• Right arm: 260 ml

Arm skin removed:

• Right side: 127 g
• Left side: 140 g
