This patient has experienced significant gynaecomastia since his teenage years, and over time, the condition has become more pronounced. During the examination, hard breast gland tissue was noted just beneath the nipple-areola complex (NAC). However, the majority of the gynaecomastia was identified as pseudo-gynecomastia, which extended beyond the areola.
According to Dr. Beldholm’s gynaecomastia grading system, this condition is classified as Grade BB 2b. My current recommendation for treating this grade is VASER liposuction only. However, since there was a small amount of glandular tissue present, I also performed a gland excision on this male patient.
Age:
46 years old
Operation:
VASER liposuction was done initially, removing 400ml of subcutaneous fat from each side. 800ml of adipose tissue in total.
Incision made in under the areola and a small amount of gland removed:
- Right side: 14 grams
- Left side: 10 grams
