Who is it for?

Dr. Beldholm created the live show especially for mothers and post-weight-loss patients who are thinking about getting cosmetic surgery.

Body contouring for mothers

The average woman gains between 11.5 kg and 16 kg during pregnancy. Whether you’ve given birth to multiple children or just one, the dreaded “mummy tummy” or “pooch” is very common. Unfortunately, it can sometimes be hard to make that bulge in your lower abdomen go away with diet and exercise alone. This is because of how your tummy expands to make room for the growing baby. The skin and abdominal muscles stretch quite a lot during this time. This can lead to muscle separation in 60 percent of mothers, leaving a gap between the muscles that causes the stomach to “pooch out”. To make matters worse, the skin often loses firmness and elasticity after giving birth. The good news is that these problem areas can be fixed with the help of cosmetic surgery. The most popular procedures mothers ask about when they meet Dr. Beldholm for a consultation are the:

Mini tummy tuck

This procedure removes that small, overhanging flap of skin that droops over a C-section scar.

Full tummy tuck

In addition to tightening the skin, this operation sculpts the abdominal area and repairs separated muscles.

Aesthetic breast surgery

(Example: Breast Lift and/or Breast Augmentation) The extra fat that is removed during a tummy tuck can be added to the breasts to restore fullness and volume after breastfeeding.

Mummy makeover

Pregnancy and breastfeeding can take a toll on the body. A mummy makeover is a favorite of mothers who want to improve the shape and attractiveness of various body parts with a single surgery. A mummy makeover can include any combination of the following :

  • Tummy tuck – breast augmentation
  • Tummy tuck – breast augmentation – labiaplasty
  • Tummy tuck – breast lift
  • Tummy tuck – breast lift – labiaplasty
  • Tummy tuck – breast reduction
  • Tummy tuck – breast reduction – labiaplasty
  • Tummy tuck – breast enhancement using fat injection.

Body contouring for weight loss patients

Whenever a patient drops a significant amount a weight, it’s a huge milestone and the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Whether through bariatric surgery or diet and exercise, losing 45 kilos or more can be truly life changing. However, it is common to be left with an unwanted reminder of your former self: that is, loose, hanging skin. This happens when the skin stretches to accommodate a person’s growing size. For many patients, that excess skin sticks around long after they’ve reached their goal weight. Luckily, there are many procedures that can help restore your body. These include the:

Full tummy tuck

The best way to improve the contours of your abdominal area, the full tummy tuck is perfect for removing extra fat and skin left on the stomach.

Extended tummy tuck

This operation addresses the hips and love handles in addition to giving you all the benefits of a full tummy tuck.

Body lift

A body lift helps give your abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks better tone and contour by removing excess fat and skin for a smoother, slimmer body.

Fleur de lis abdominoplasty

For patients who need to remove a lot of extra skin, this type of tummy tuck rejuvenates your body by trimming the excess from the belly, both vertically and horizontally.

Arm lift (also called brachioplasty)

Smooth and streamline your arms permanently with brachioplasty. It is ideal for getting rid of the extra hanging skin that droops from the back of the arms.

Inner thigh lift

This procedure gives your inner thighs a beautiful, shapely silhouette by removing stubborn pockets of excess fat and skin that tend to accumulate in the area.
